The Hang Up – By Dem
By Dem produces textiles with organic and fairtrade cotton. Their mission is to raise awareness on how polluting the fashion industry is and to change how we view garments as disposable items. We found that the lowest common denominator was the plastic hanger. So we thought; why not make hangers out of cotton waste?

Our solution provides a new way for brands to talk to customers in stores.
We aimed for a friendly and accessible campaign site.
We made a film for social media to spread awareness. Few know how damaging plastic hangers are to the environment and that retailers don't have a system for re-using them. Even fewer know that there is a simple solution.
